About Us

Hi, I'm Nic

I’ve played sport since I could walk.

Jumpers for goalposts football in the street. Running for my local harriers. Playing football for my school and county. Rowing at University. Sport climbing. And for the past decade, playing rugby union to Championship 2 level as a tight head prop (most of the time).
I love everything about it.
The fierce competition. The pre-match nerves mixing with excited energy. The incredible people I’ve met along the way. The lifelong friendships forged in mud and sweat.
And I love watching sport. Any sport. Literally any.
I’d rather be out of the house watching netball, cricket, football, or rugby — supporting local teams — than almost anything else.
“There’s something special about grassroots sport. You’re not just watching — you’re part of it.”
You’re standing on the sideline in the rain, cheering, feeling like you belong to something bigger than yourself.
I’ve lived both sides of this problem.
As a player, to limited crowds of mostly friends and family. As a fan, trying desperately to find matches to attend.
So I built Nettie.

Why Nettie Exists

Finding these matches was impossibly hard.
I’d want to watch women’s rugby on a Saturday. Where? No idea. Women’s football nearby? Good luck. Local netball? Forget it.
I’d end up at the big games — Twickenham, Stamford Bridge. They’re fantastic. But they’re expensive.
I grew up with a bit less money. Going to those big games was a treat, not a weekly thing.
But grassroots women’s sport? It’s free. It’s on your doorstep. It’s just as brilliant. And it makes you feel part of your community in a way nothing else does.

The problem is: you can't find it.

There are over 8,000 women’s sport clubs in England. They host thousands of matches every weekend. Football, rugby, netball, cricket, hockey — brilliant sport happening right now, in your community.

But finding them? Nearly impossible.

No central platform. No easy search. Just word of mouth and luck.

People do attend. But there’s no way to capture that attendance. No data to prove fans exist. No revenue from people showing up.

Not as someone who saw a business opportunity. As someone who plays sport. Who’s tried to find matches as a fan.

I've lived both sides of this problem. Nettie fixes both.

Who We're For

Everyone
Players who want full stands
Parents supporting their daughters
Partners cheering on their loved ones
Fans who just love women’s sport
Anyone who wants to feel part of their community

What You Get

Search your postcode. Find matches. Check in when you attend. Teams earn revenue. You can get verified data. Simple as that.

The Bigger Picture

This isn’t just about finding matches.
It’s about what happens when stands are full.
Teams feel valued. Players perform better. Communities connect. Young girls see role models. Sport thrives.
And it’s about access.
Not everyone can afford Premier League tickets. But everyone can walk to their local pitch and watch brilliant sport for free.

That’s what we’re building.

What Happens Next

Official launch: August 1st, 2026

Founding teams earn revenue from day one.
Between now and then, we’re partnering with 20 founding teams across England. These teams will be the first to list fixtures. The first to see full stands. The first to prove this works.
