Hi, I'm Nic

I've played sport since I could walk.
Jumpers for goalposts football in the street. Running for my local harriers. Playing football for my school and county. Rowing at university. Sport climbing. And for the past decade, playing rugby union to Championship 2 level as a tight-head prop (most of the time).
I love everything about it.
The fierce competition. The pre-match nerves mixing with excited energy. The incredible people I've met along the way. The lifelong friendships forged in mud and sweat.
And I love watching sport. Any sport. Literally any.
There's something special about grassroots sport. You're not just watching — you're part of it.
Why Nettie exists
There are over 8,000 women's sport clubs in England. They host thousands of matches every weekend — football, rugby, netball, basketball, handball. Brilliant sport happening right now, in your community.
But finding them? Nearly impossible. No central platform. No easy search. Just word of mouth and luck.
People do attend. But there's no way to capture that attendance. No data to prove fans exist. No revenue from people showing up. I've lived both sides of this problem. Nettie fixes both.
Founding clubs
We're partnering with 12–20 founding clubs across England, weighted toward Football and Rugby Union first. These clubs help shape Nettie from the ground up — testing the check-in flow, refining the discovery experience, and proving what works.
Founding clubs earn revenue from day one: 50p per check-in, paid manually by Nic each quarter. No automated Stripe payouts in this build — just a simple, direct revenue share that rewards clubs for every fan they bring through the gate.
Who we're for
- Players who want full stands
- Parents supporting their daughters
- Partners cheering on their loved ones
- Fans who just love women's sport
- Anyone who wants to feel part of their community
The bigger picture
This isn't just about finding matches. It's about what happens when stands are full. Clubs feel valued. Players perform better. Communities connect. Young girls see role models. Sport thrives.
And it's about access. Not everyone can afford Premier League tickets. But everyone can walk to their local pitch and watch brilliant sport for free. That's what we're building.
Women's sport has been invisible for too long. Let's change that.
